Welcome our young alumni relocation picnic day
Welcome our young alumni relocation picnic day
On this warm and energetic afternoon, our HKUST alumni gathered in Edwards Garden for a chill picnic. Each of us prepared food and snacks for the event. Beauiful roses, a creek, lots of green fields and trees. A perfect place for a picnic and chitchatting!
The sun shone brightly on May 14, 2022, casting its warmth on the lush green fields of Edwards Gardens in Toronto. It was an afternoon of joy and nostalgia as our esteemed HKUST alumni converged for a relaxed picnic. Vibrant roses in full bloom, the gentle murmur of the creek, and expansive green fields set the stage for an ideal gathering.
Everyone came with a basket filled with delightful treats, sharing both food and memories. Amidst the scenic beauty of the garden, we were especially thrilled to welcome our freshly-graduated alumni. Their recent move from the HKUST campus in Hong Kong to Canada was a commendable leap, and we were all ears for their tales.
Our current President, Mr. Hung, graciously took the opportunity to share insights from his academic journey in Canada. Not just a walk down memory lane, his words were a beacon of guidance and support for those navigating the challenges of relocation and seeking academic advice.
The afternoon was not just about basking in the sun and cherishing the beauty of Edwards Gardens. It was about community, connections, and extending a warm Canadian welcome to the newest members of our ever-growing HKUST family.
